Wow! What a wonderful day for the 5th Sunday Money Shoot. It started out a little cool for the end of August, in the lower 50’s. No wind and the birds were flying great. The sun was in our eyes for the first 2 rounds on the early stations. By the time rounds 3 & 4 came around, the wind was blowing a little causing some rather high birds and some rather low ones, depending on which house they came out of. But the birds must have had their radar turned on because they were not flying into the shot on every flight like they should. Many evaded being broken. But I think everyone had a good time shooting toward them.
The scores varied, mostly in the 20’s. There were no 25’s this week but four 24’s and four 23’s. So, the scores were pretty darn good.
First place went to Paul again for the 3rd consecutive 2025 5th Sunday Money Shoot. Way to go Paul. Doesn’t anyone have anything for Paul? How about someone kicking him off the throne on our next 5th Sunday Money shoot.
2nd place was a tie between Randy and Rick. Both shot well (but not as good as they wanted to, I am sure).
As for the rest of us, we enjoyed a very nice Fall Day at the shooting range.
The next 5th Sunday Money Shoot will be on November 30, so we have a couple months to improve our shooting skills in this great game of Skeet. Join us again then for a wonderful day in the great outdoors with the smell of gun powder in the air. Bring a friend. Heck, bring a friend each week so they can practice up for the next 5th Sunday Money Shoot.
