Today was a gorgeous day for the 5th Sunday Money Shoot. The 3rd & 4th rounds were a little windy, but I think it was the nicest day for shooting skeet that we had this year. There were a couple high 7’s that got right down toward the ground but were broken by the shooters.
We had some great scores for both squads. The 1st squad had a new member today who shot quite well even though he hadn’t shot in some time. The 2nd squad member had a low 20 score the 1st round but came back with three 23’s. The 3rd squad member (Paul) shot very well with three 24’s and a perfect 25. That is only 3 misses. Good job Paul.
The 2nd squad was hanging in there too but no 25 score. There were two 24’s, a 23 and several 22’s and the remaining rounds were lower.
I think we all had a good time today. I know I did. Paul ended up winning 1st place for a pay out of $16.00. He was followed by Rick who received $8.00. Greg hung in there for 3rd place and he received $8.00 as well.
And thank you new member Alan for participating and we hope to see you again. If any of you know skeet shooters who would like to participate, please have them come practice every Sunday at 8:00 at the Cooperstown Sportsman’s Club.
The next 5th Sunday Money Shoot is scheduled to happen August 31, 2025.
