2024 – Second 5th Sunday Money Shoot

Oh, what a wonderful day to shoot skeet. Well, it didn’t look like it was going to be such a good day because when I left home it was raining a little and as I got closer to Cooperstown the rain was getting harder. But when I arrived at the Sportsman’s club, the rain had stopped and the sun was even starting to show. And as we shot at those little clay pigeons it warmed up and even got sticky out on the skeet field. There was a little wind now and then but that is always expected. It was a wonderful day.

Now about the shooting. Today there were 8 shooters at the club enjoying our sport. Ray got off to a wonderful start with a 24 the first round. Then he followed that up with two more in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and then a slip up with a 23 the last round. Great shooting. It was amazing that 3 others also got 24’s but 25 straight was still elusive today.

Ray’s early start and good follow up got him 1st place. Rick got 2nd place only missing 1st by two birds even though he shot with a handicap, using the little .410. Paul followed up with 3rd.

These are the same three winners from the last 5th Sunday Money Shoot in March only in a different order. Can anyone dethrone these guys?

It was a nice day and good fellowship. The next 5th Sunday Money Shoot will be in September, being September 29. Please join us and bring a shooting friend.
