It was a cool day for July 30. The temp when I got up was 55 degrees. It went up to around 60 when we started shooting Skeet. Most had a jacket or sweatshirt on which is highly unusual for July. The sun kept coming out from under the clouds and then would disappear again. There was a slight breeze much of the day which would give us an unusual bird occasionally.
All the shooters went out and gave it their all. However sometimes that wasn’t much, especially in my case. But when it was done Rob Navratil (Bobs son) won first place beating Greg by 1 bird, so Greg got the 2nd place pay out. There was actually a tie between Paul and Ray. So, a shoot off was in order. They agreed to shoot doubles to break the tie. Paul dropped one on the first station and Ray hit both of his so the drama didn’t last very long. Ray ended up getting the 3rd place payout.
I think everybody had a good time eating Ms. Kays cake brought to the club by Ted.
Please join us at 8:00 every Sunday morning to practice shooting skeet in preparation for the next 5th Sunday Money Shoot on October 29. It is a fun time to get out and shoot skeet along with some BS too.
